vbc 3000’s objective is to retain and commercialize the patent of a process to transform organic sludges
from treatment plants into ceramic materials. In response to market demand three further types
of complementary activities were developed:
- Assignment of operating licences for the vbc3000 process.
- The marketing of sludge-drying equipment
- Undertaking research and engineering works notably in the handling of water treatment
plant sludges (thickening, dehydration, heat drying and transformation)
The official trade launch of the vbc3000 process, and a demonstration of sludge drying,
took place at three events
- In November 2004 at The Exhibition for Mayors and Local Government in Paris,
the company was awarded the prize for innovation in the “Energy and Environment” category.
- in December 2004 at the Pollutec exhibition in Lyon where interest in the process was
confirmed by the needs of industrial companies.
- On 17th March 2005 at a Workshop National Assembly under the joint-chairmanship
of the Association of the Mayors of France and the Association of Eco-mayors, approved this process
as a good example of industrial ecology
